WHAT IS USUI REIKI
Usui Reiki Ryoho is a Japanese healing system developed by Dr. Mikao Usui in the 1900's. It is an energy healing system where the universal life force energy is channeled through the practioner to the recipient. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese words, "Rei," which means "universal" and "ki" which means life force energy. When one practices Reiki, they are channeling this universal life force energy. When you give a Reiki treatemnt, you are a channel so your own energy is not depleted.
During a Reiki class, you will be attuned to the traditional Usui Reiki system as taught by Dr. Usui. Reiki training includes an initiation ritual called an attunement. You can receive this attunement only from a Master who passes on the ability to channel the Reiki energy. This process involves clearing of any energy blocks to Reiki within your own aura and connecting you to the ability to run Reiki Energy. Once you receive the attunements, you will become a Reiki Channel. You have this ability to channel energy for the rest of your life.
There are 3 levels of Reiki. With each level, you are attuned or connected to a higher energy source. You begin with the Reiki I workshop where you will learn the history of Reiki, the chakras, hand positions, grounding and detoxification, and receive the Level I attunement. The Level 2 workshop teaches more advanced healing techniques such as distant healing, the aura, scanning and receive the Level 2 attunement. You will also be taught the tools to develop your own Reiki practice. The level 3A workshop is the Master Level where your knowledge and skills are expanded by learning more advanced healing techniques, and you are attuned to the Master Level. If you decide to teach Reiki, you can take the Level 3B workshop where you will learn how to pass attunements to others and teach Reiki.
You will receive a manual with each level as well as a certificate at each level. It is recommended that a few months have elapsed after taking Reiki I and II.
